About Father Lacroix: New Bedford born and raised, Father Lacroix is a graduate of Bishop Stang High School in North Dartmouth. After graduation from Bridgewater State College, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in history and secondary education, he taught for two years before entering St. John’s Seminary in Brighton to study for the priesthood. He served as a parochial vicar at Holy Redeemer Parish, Chatham, St. Patrick’s, Wareham, and St. Mary’s, Mansfield. In 2001, he was appointed pastor of St. Francis Xavier Parish in Acushnet. In 2008, he began his present pastorate at St. Francis Xavier Parish in Hyannis. He has also been chaplain to police, an area director for the Catholic Charities Appeal, and an auditor in the Diocesan Tribunal.
